Built in the 18th Century and restored in 1996 by the present owners, this gorgeous private villa and cottage are now available for rent for self catering holidays in Umbria. Sitting high on a hill, the villa has breathtaking views in every direction over rolling hills and farmland, rugged hills and even a 12th century castle.

The villa has been carefully restored using authentic materials where possible to retain its unique original character, with wooden beams and terracotta floors throughout. The furnishings are very comfortable and in traditional Umbrian/Tuscan style.

Situated just 12km from Umbertide, 20 km north of Perugia and 15km from Lake Trasimeno on the border with Tuscany, the villa is perfectly located to explore and discover both Umbria and Tuscany with Gubbio, Montone, Cortona, Siena, Todi, Deruta, Montefalco and Assisi all within easy reach.

Accommodation

Main Villa

On the ground floor is a large entrance hall, living room with wood-burning fireplace, dining room and a well appointed eat-in kitchen with doors to a covered terrace for alfresco dinning.

Across the hall there is a bedroom with two single beds and an adjacent bathroom as well as a laundry room with a washer and dryer. The bedroom has a door leading to the garden.

There are two large patios accessible from the living room and dining room, on opposite sides of the house, with views of both the valley and the mountains.

On the upper floor, there are two large bedrooms with queen beds and ensuite bathrooms. In between the two bedrooms is a cosy sitting/ TV room with wood-burning fireplace.

Cottage

Completed in the summer of 2007, the small, self contained cottage has a fully equpped kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom downstairs and a queen size bedroom with an antique armoire and a make-up table on the mezzanine floor above.

It has its own private patio overlooking the pool from where there are magnificent views.

Swimming Pool and Gardens

The swimming pool has incredible views over the valley beyond. Cleaned using mineral salts it is also ecofriendly. The surround to the pool is made of local stone and is in complete harmony with the area and gardens around.

The gardens have been carefully tended with fruit and olive trees, lavender, rosemary and cypress trees with perfectly manicured lawns.
