An incredibly beautiful villa dating back to around 1700, recently restored with great sophistication and attention to detail, Villa delle Lucciole nestles in 117 acres of private estate and offers luxury accommodation to those seeking a holiday retreat with refinement and elegance, privacy and tranquility.

Set admist forests and meadows, with morning mists and fireflys in the early June evenings, this villa really offers all that is wonderful in Umbria. Originally an 18th century farmhouse, this accommodation is now more Palazzo in feel. Connected by a series of grand archways, the ground floor reception rooms flow seamlessly together, leading on to the terrace, where there are breathtaking views of the valley below and an ancient medieval fort.

The attention to detail throughout is outstanding and the four generously sized bedrooms are all elegantly furnished and 2 have en-suite bathrooms. The master suite has its own large private sitting room and is the height of luxury.

Situated just 10 minutes drive from the picturesque, medieval hilltop town of Montone, and 15 minutes from the main town of Umbertide, Villa delle Lucciole is well situated to explore the towns of Gubbio, Perugia, Cortona, Todi, Deruta, Montefalco, Assisi, Spello and the lake at Trasimeno.

Accommodation

The master suite has a private sitting room, bedroom with large double bed and en-suite bathroom with copper bathtub and very large seperate shower. The loggia bedroom has a large double bed (and will soon have an en-suite bathroom). The lavender bedroom has a large double bed and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower attachment. The white room has two single beds and a shower room across the hallway. There is an additional shower room on the ground floor.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, a magimix and a top of the range gas cooker with electric oven. There is a washing machine & seperate dryer in the utility room. The kitchen also has a small table that seats 4 people with the dining room seating 8. The main external dining area seats up to 12 guests.

There are terraces on three sides of the house, one adjacent to the stunning swimming pool providing beautiful areas for eating alfresco. A cook is available on request, payable locally.
