Guest review: We stayed in two apartments out of four in Villa Sottile. This was our first time and we arrived at midnight to a floodlit infinity pool and a backdrop of a floodlit castle down the valley. Everybody just whooped and couldn't resist jumping straight in! I was travelling with six young people aged 11-17 and everybody said it was the best holiday they'd ever had. Getting out to play on the championship golf course was an unexpected treat for me and there were enough interesting places to visit that were within an hour's drive to keep everyone happy.

This is an elegant Villa situated in a prominent position overlooking the estates of Antognolla and Murlo castle. The property enjoys breathtaking views and a peaceful setting, and as part of a 5 star luxury resort it can take advantage of the services that this provides or remain fully self sufficient.

The extensive private grounds surrounding Subtilia provide privacy, as well as making it ideal for walkers and nature lovers, wishing to explore the surrounding woodland and nature reserve.

The villa sleeps up to 18 people and can be rented as a private villa or separately in 3 apartments (Tramonto, Alba, Olivo) and one luxury romantic suite in the cottage (Tiglio).

Each apartment is furnished and decorated in a luxurious style and has its own fully fitted kitchen, dining room, living room and laundry. All the bedrooms have their own individual colour schemes and are of a good size with excellent facilities and magnificent views.

Situated on the Murlo estate, near the championship golf course at Antognolla. Perugia, Lake Trasimeno, Deruta, Montefalco, Assisi, Spoleto, Todi and Siena are all within easy reach.

Apartment Tramonto – sleeps 6 guests (3 bedrooms)

This is the largest apartment with two king bedrooms, one twin bedroom and 3 bathrooms. There is a wonderful open sitting room with attached dining room that will seat 12. The sitting room leads onto a spacious and private outdoor terrace and the upstairs twin room has direct access to a private stair case and balcony, with views directly to Antognolla Castle.

Apartment Alba - sleeps 6 guests (3 bedrooms)

This spacious apartment has 3 twin bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This has a lovely sitting room and a seperate dining room that seats 6. A beautiful stone terrace surrounds the apartment that can be reached from both the sitting room and kitchen.

Apartment Olivo – sleeps 4 guests (2 bedrooms)

This apartment has 2 king bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. An independent sititng room leads to the kitchen with direct access to its private terrace and views of Antognolla castle.

Tiglio Cottage – sleeps 2 (Studio room)

This is an independent luxury suite designed as modern 5 star hotel room. There is a perfectly situated Jacuzzi bath with unrivalled views and an independent fridge and bar. The perfect honeymoon suite.

Infinity Swimming pool

There is a stunning infinity pool of 7mx15m and the most indulgent heated Jacuzzi, both overlooking Antognolla estate. There are a vast array of comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas. The private fenced, beautifully designed garden boasts its own private putting green, a barbecue and a stunning pergola with outdoor dining facilities for 18. Each apartment has its own panoramic private terrace with outdoor seating facilities.

Villa Sottile is delighted to offer its guests the following services to make their stay as comfortable and luxurious as possible:

     • Cooking classes are available either at the villa or at the golf clubhouse
     • A food hamper can be arranged for an additional cost
     • Linen and towels are provided once per week on Saturday.
     • Extra changes are available on request for an additional charge
     • Maid service is included in the rental price 2 hours 7 days a week
     • Starter welcome provisions are included in the rental price

Antognolla Golf Course

There is an 18 hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, golf clubhouse and restaurant facilities in the same estate only 3 minutes from the villa. This is also accessible with a golf cart through a private path across the nature reserve.

All guests staying have discounts on the golf green fees and at the clubhouse restaurant.
