Guest review: Upon first meeting Luciana, the owner of Villa Tramonto, you got the immediate feeling that you were welcomed with open arms. After staying with Luciana on a second visit we decided to book all the apartments for thirty of our friends. To cut a long story short all our friends had the most amazing time during their 2/3 night stay at Villa Tramonto. Luciana and her husband Dante assisted by their two daughters and other family members couldn't have done more for our guests.
This country house has been beautifully restored into 5 luxury self catering apartments and one double bedroom, each with independent entrance. There is a fantastic view over the valley northwards to Cittΰ di Castello (15 mins drive) and south to Perugia (40 mins drive), with the mountains of Monte Nerone and Catria in the distance. The swimming pool looks out over the countryside and is only for use by guests staying at the property. The restaurant is run by the family that own the property and offers an excellent menu based on traditional Umbrian food and also great pizzas!
There is an outdoor stone barbecue and mountain bikes are available for guests use. All the apartments have real log fires making the apartments very welcoming in autumn and winter.
Each apartment is furnished to a very high standard and the tariffs include bed and bathroom linens (with a weekly change for bookings of more than one week) and a final cleaning of the apartment on departure A welcome pack is included with provisions for the first morning.
The apartments offer an ideal base from which to explore both Umbria and Tuscany with towns like Perugia, Gubbio, Todi, Cortona and Siena within easy reach, as well as the city of Florence.

On the first and second floors, Apartment Ellera is the largest apartment with 2 bedrooms and spacious living areas.

There is also an ensuite double bedroom on the ground floor with private terrace, perfect for a couple travelling, not needing all the room an apartment offers but with all the facilities of Villa Tramonto.
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool lies in 10 hectares of beautiful countryside of fields and olive groves belonging to Villa Tramonto and gets the sun all day long. Open from early May to late September (depending on the weather!).
Restaurant
The restaurant is run by the family, with nonna in the kitchen and her son making the pizzas! The excellent menu is based on traditional Umbrian cooking but with an individual twist and there is an extensive wine menu. There is a terrace outside for dining alfresco and a conservatory area looking out over the valley.
